First Look at New Amtrak Airo Trains

This week, we shared a look at the first new Amtrak Airo trainset to ship from Siemens’ Sacramento facility to Pueblo, CO for testing.

This is just the beginning – 83 new trainsets will transform service, kicking off on the Amtrak Cascades in 2026, followed by the Northeast Regional and other East Coast routes.
