Amtrak has begun major construction for the B&P Tunnel Replacement Program. These investments will unlock the biggest rail bottleneck between Washington, D.C. and New York, improving reliability and delivering faster travel times for millions of people.

Amtrak's Community Investment Program
We are committed to investing $50M in the West Baltimore community.
Investments will be made through community grants and direct investments, with projects covering six categories:
- Community Development
- Workforce Development
- Parks and Recreation
- Community Gardens, Vacant Lots and Public Space
- Transportation
- Historic Preservation
